Meet Your Instructor:  Mari Alexander, PA-C, LMFT

Mari Alexander is an instructor in the Interpersonal Nerobiology program at PCC's Institute for Health Professionals. She teaches Difference and Diversity.

IMG_9301Mari Alexander is both a medical provider and a psychotherapist, licensed as both a Physician Assistant in Family Practice and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked and lived in multiple countries abroad from France and Central and Eastern Europe to Kenya and North and West Africa and has traveled in India, Nepal and SE Asia.

Mari has drawn from her experiences in cultures other then her own as well as with diverse and often marginalized groups in the USA as an intercultural consultant and trainer. Her work in Cultural Competency and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has been further informed by her studies in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Compassionate Communication and workshops and self-study in racism and white supremacy culture. The integration of her experiences and expertise is what she utilizes facilitate people’s effectiveness in expanding their awareness of oppression and bias in order to effectively team across differences.
