Meet Your Instructor:  Lisa Aasheim

Dr. Lisa Aasheim is an instructor in the Interpersonal Nerobiology program at PCC's Institute for Health Professionals. She teaches IPNB of Attachment & Trauma.

Lisa AasheimDr. Lisa Aasheim, LPC, LMHC (WA), ACS, and PhD, is the Director of Counseling Services at Portland Community College. She is a longtime Counseling Clinic Director, Associate Professor, and Mental Health Professional who specializes in "helping the helpers" including medical personnel, first responders, mental health practitioners and educators.

Dr. Aasheim specializes in clinical supervision and is the author of the internationally acclaimed "Practical Clinical Supervision for Counselors: An Experiential Guide" (Springer Publishing). She focuses her work on the intersection of the ever-developing brain, emotions, and practitioner performance and embraces the many opportunities to advance social justice through clinical and human excellence.
