  • Once the core classes are completed, you will qualify to receive a Certificate of Completion in Mobile Integrated HealthcareIf you are certified at the State or National Registry as a Paramedic, completion of the MIH Certificate will prepare you for the International Board of Specialty Certification - Community Paramedic Exam.

Expand your education and skills training as an EMS provider to deliver advanced and prolonged care to critically ill or injured patients in an out-of-hospital environment. Learn more>

  • Format: 8 weeks of VILT* learning (Tuesday and Thursday), followed by on-site skills training and an optional customized clinical practicum
  • Get prepared for the International Board of Specialty Certification – Critical Care Paramedic Exam

  • Cost: $2,890, plus the textbook (Critical Care Transport Book), travel, lodging and food while in Portland, Oregon for your on-site training and optional clinical practicum. Become an advanced clinical practitioner in paramedicine at remote mining sites, offshore installations and other isolated industry settings. Learn more>

  • Format: 10 weeks of VILT* learning (Monday and Wednesday), followed by an on-site skills evaluation prior to participating in the optional customized clinical practicum and/or externship (additional cost).

  • Cost: TBD, plus textbooks, travel, lodging and food while in Portland, Oregon for your on-site skills evaluation prior to your optional clinical practicum/externship. (There may be an option to complete the clinical practicum in your home town or externship in a remote location. Please contact the program coordinator for more information.)
  • Who should enroll? Paramedics with 3 years or more of full time EMS experience and an interest in austere medicine, registered nurses, or military medics.

To complete the RIAMP program and receive a Certificate of Completion in Remote and Industrial EMS, you must complete the didactic portions of the MIHT, CCP and Remote & Industrial Advanced Medic Courses along with an onsite lab, and a customized clinical practicum/externship of at least 100 hours.

* Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) refers to training that is delivered in a virtual or simulated environment, or when instructor and learner are in separate locations. Virtual instruction environments are designed to simulate the traditional classroom or learning experience. At PCC, our VILT will be conducted synchronously, so the instructor and student are in the online learning environment at the same time.
